From Côtes de Provence, France's heartland of rosé wine. Aime Roquesante Cotes de Provence Rose offers pretty watermelon and white cherry notes, with a flicker of savory on the stone-tinged finish. Superb salmon pink colour with an intense floral nose, with notes of strawberry and exotic fruits. The mouth reveals a sensation of freshness, and full-body and leads to a remarkably long finish. Pairing: Ham, Turkey, Grilled Salmon

Complex with spicy notes, dominant aromas of cocoa, kirsch cherries and ripe black fruits. Sharp and concentrated, the mouth is round and smooth with delicate flavours of black fruits and a spicy finish that brings freshness.

Made entirely with Sangiovese, this opens with aromas of wet leaves, underbrush, leather and prune. The palate offers dried red and black cherry, grilled sage and a confectionery note alongside lithe tannins. Organic wine and vegan certified. Pairing: Meats and hard cheeses

This luscious red perfectly captures the ripeness, depth and sheer drinkability of the best Côtes du Rhônes. From Olivier Ravoire, who lives and breathes the Rhône, the wine is from an outstanding vintage and is brimful with peppery black fruit.

Mid scarlet. Aroma of bright redcurrants, juicy plums, cracked black pepper and cloves. Silky smooth; red and black forest fruit flavours and a spicy edge.

Rustic, ripe charm. Aromas of wet soil, balsamic strawberries and sweet spice lead to a silky palate with soft tannins, fresh acidity and savoury red cherry fruit.

Oro Chianti Classico is deep ruby red with violet hints. Full-bodied it is characterized by a generous tannin which becomes softer, resulting in a fruity taste of cherry and other red berries. Pair with: cured meats, fresh pasta dishes, ribollita soup. Ideal match with grilled meats, pork, poultry and aged cheeses. 95% Sangiovese, 5% Colorino

Decent amounts of replenishing winter and spring rain was followed by mild December and January temperatures. All of this ensured favourable ripening conditions, a measured pace to proceedings and later start to harvest than recently seen. As a result, the balanced development of sugar and flavours in the fruit along with the retention of natural grape acid were the order of the day and ensured the resulting red wines from the region in 2017 look layered and pretty.

Dark ruby, clear and bright in colour. Intense notes of dense yet bright red berry compote fruit sit alongside fainter hints of brambly winter hedgerows and Christmas cake spice. A controlled and smooth passage through the palate with a certain ripe fruit presence. The wine remains light on its feet with a real sense of prettiness to the palate which surprises given the intensity of the nose.
